Land, ho!
The explorers rejoice at the sight, and christen their first settlement New Harbor.
Everything beyond is unknown, shrouded under clouds.
The Scouting Corps prepares brave adventurers for the historic feat of exploration ahead.
And they're off!
1. Scouts will be first sold in ships of 50, setting sail for Eureka once per week.
2. Presale Scouts will be the only characters who get to first explore the continent.
3. That's a big head start to level up your Scouts and purchase land you (and others) uncover.
4. You can list your Scouts for hire to eager players once the main game begins.
Control your Scout's movement and actions through their Character Card.
Explorers need food and water, so make sure to chart their path across these resources regularly.
Scouting Licenses are your owned employment contract with your brave Scout. They also let you list your Scout for hire.
Only Scouts can travel onto unexplored land, and only you see what your Scout uncovers in real time.
As your scout uncovers a plot of land, they fill out a Field Report with their observations.
If you discover a new region or Natural Wonder, you get to name it, and receive an official Certificate of Discovery!
Send in Field reports with your trusty Homing Pigeon, adding them to the official map of Eureka, visible to all!
Specify land you would like to purchase, and your pigeon will return with the deed!
All characters in Eureka improve through experience, becoming better at their jobs the more you use them.
As you explore territory with your Scout, they will move faster, become more surefooted on tricky terrain, advance their survival skills, and gain powerful new abilities.
